Yesterday we spent some time working on our gymnastics movements, when we went as fast as could through Chest-to-Bar Pull Ups, Ring Dips, and Pistols in the WOD.
The workout required that the athlete complete 10, 9, 8 – all the way down to one of the three movements as fast as their legs could carry them. Unfortunately though, the Pistols made those legs move a bit slower than most intended through the WOD as the movement Pistol requires a great deal of balance and flexibility.
What was great though was not only was everyone able to get a good dose of Pistol practice, but two people were able to go through their first-ever prescribed Pistol workout. Congratulations to Dave Marshall and to Jenn, and great work to everyone!
