Overall, it seemed that people really enjoyed yesterday’s workout. It was hard but not so difficult that not a lot of rest was necessary. As a result, everyone kept moving. What I particularly enjoyed about yesterday’s WOD though was not only how it kept everyone going but how all the guys seemed to dial up the intensity when they were pitted against the women. Here’s everything that we did:
For Time:
75 Air Squats
50 Kettlebell Swings (55/35#)
750 Meter Row
25 Power Cleans (60/40k)
The men against the women mentality began early in the morning at 5:30 and then continued through the 9 a.m. class; however, it ramped up at noon when Andrew realized that he was the only male present and made sure that all the ladies took notice as he battled his way through the workout prescribed.
The same mentality carried through at 5 p.m. as 18 people trudged their way through the workout; however, no one actually acknowledged the competition until 6 p.m. when Matt told the men that if they women caught them on the rowers that there would burpees involved at the end of the WOD.
Let it be known that both Dawson and Matt Sop. both worked their butts off on the rower to ensure that the rest of the men wouldn’t have to suffer anymore after they called “time”, especially since it was Royce’s birthday. (Happy birthday, by the way!)
All in all, the guys all put forth a tremendous amount of effort yesterday, and it was great to see them all pull together, especially at the end, to protect the wolf pack.

God I wish I could make it to the box, this new work schedule doesn’t allow for time on any of the classes
I am going to try for Sunday
Loved the workout, mid-row was extremely difficult. It was my birthday too, and couldn’t think of a better way to start it off than a 5:30 WOD!
