Glad I made the 9:00 AM this morning because Diane, Nancy, & I tried making it in for the 5:00 PM and after seeing three cars in the ditch we turned around.
On the upside, last night we started our first attempt with a homemade Paleo rib sauce recipe. We braised and marinated the ribs overnight and, after digging out the grill, threw them on the grill tonight. They were amazing!
I’ll guess some of you already have seen this but the recipe was from Cosmopolitan Primal Girl on WordPress. You can Google “paleo ribs” or here is the link: http://cosmopolitanprimalgirl.wordpress.com/2011/08/01/best-paleo-ribs-ever/. I goofed up using tablespoons instead of teaspoons on the cinnamon (oops) but they were still awesome. We highly recommend the recipe.
Now, we’re still newbies at this whole Paleo eating thing. Just to clarify as long as it’s Paleo we can eat as much as we want, right? Because there’s nothing left but some sauce!
Paul…yes and no…..if you are trying to lose bodyfat, try and keep portion sizes to a reasonable amount…enough to fuel your body for the high-intensity training of CrossFit. If you are trying to bulk-up and increase strength, the more the merrier. Also, FYI – beef is a far better alternative to chicken or pork….but I love me some ribs every once in a while. And I have been known to eat a little bacon in my day as well
This is one of a bunch of recipes I have made “paleo” or paleo-ish, unfortunately this is the only one I have documented this well (so far) there are links to the meat goat and to a giardinera reciepe in the PDF.
Try it out, make ot your own and let me know what you change so I can try it too

if the link fails just let me know and I will update it, I have a tendency to mive things around and forget where I had posted it.
