Yesterday we met with “Elizabeth”, 21-15-9 of Cleans and Ring Dips, and here’s a breakdown of a typical meeting with our friend, Liz:
RIGHT AFTER THE “3-2-1 GO!”: “Hi, Elizabeth. It’s nice to meet you. Just watch as I squat the hell out of this barbell and then take my butt over to the rings to destroy them. Don’t believe me? Keep watching.”
ON REP 11 ON THE RING DIPS: “No, I’m not tired. I’m just gaming this. (Shakes out arms and completes five more reps.) See… totally gaming this… (Struggles through the last five and then heads over to the bar.)
ON REP 2 OF THE 15 CLEANS: “Holy crap…” (Stares at the bar after completing the rep, not wanting to pick it up again.)
ON REP 10 OF THE 15 CLEANS: “I hate my life.”
ON REP 15 OF THE 15 DIPS: (Walks slowly, reluctantly back to the barbell.) “At least there’s only nines left…”
ON REP 9 OF THE 9 CLEANS: (Drops bar from the front rack position and a chorus of angels sound in the background.) “Thank. God.”
AFTER CALLING “TIME!”: (Laying on the floor in one’s own sweat angel.) “F*** you, Elizabeth.”
Like I said, this is how it is with our friend, Liz. Regardless of how it feels “during the meeting”, everyone fought through the rep scheme and then knew they had accomplished more than they thought they could at the end of it all. It was merely a matter of getting through the breakdown.
Awesome work to everyone yesterday! Now get ready to start meeting Liz’s other friends in the near future. They’re scheduling their visits to town.

Yup – that pretty much described how I felt yesterday
ON REP 10 OF THE 15 CLEANS: “I hate my life.”- Ha ha ha
